FIELD: chemical technology, isolation of n-hexane of hexane-containing benzine fractions which comprise 2,2-dimethyl butane, 2,3-dimethyl butane, 2-methyl pentane, 3-methyl pentane, methyl cyclopentane having boiling point about boiling point of n-hexane, together with other paraffin and cycloparaffin hydrocarbons of C5-C6 composition. SUBSTANCE: method is carried out by rectification on two rectification columns with the help of parting agent. Mixture of benzene and n-heptane is used as mentioned above parting agent. Fraction of light hydrocarbons is isolated at atmospheric pressure from the top of the first rectification column. N-hexane is isolated from the top of the second column, the process is carried out at pressure 800-7000 mm Hg by using vat residue of the first column. Thus obtained n-hexane is then additionally purified against benzene by adsorption on zeolites or by treatment with oleum. EFFECT: improved efficiency.
