The rotor has short-circuit rods (3) arranged in passages of the plate packet. A short-circuit plate (2) is provided at the two ends of the plate packet. The outer diameter of the short circuit plates (2) preferably, at most, correspond to the inner edge distance of diametrically opposing short circuit rods (3).
