An assembly which treats effluent and waste water consists of a combination of biological, chemical and physical treatment stages. The novelty is that the treatment stages consist of: (a) a biological pre-treatment stage (1, 3, 5), with the pre-treated water being drained through an outlet (6) pipe to the second stage; (b) a second stage consisting of one or more absorbers (7a, 7b, 7c, 8), = 1 of them can be regenerated, and surrendering treated water to a third stage through an outlet pipe (9); (c) a third chemical treatment stage (13, 16, 17, 18) which is linked to the absorbers (7a, 7b, 7c) to be regenerated, by means of an inlet (14a) and outlet (14b).
