An orthesis for protection from injury, and to the support of the rehabilitation in the case of injuries to knee, - elbow - and other joints

The joint surrounding protection cap of the orthosis is made from a metal, esp. titanium, alloy or from a plastics material. Eight support rods of the same material secure the full mobility of the protected joint via ball joints. A two-part, rear side fastener is mounted on the protection cap. It locates four further support rods with ball joints. Pref. the entire metal or plastics assembly is embedded in a special fabric with air exchange (breathing) activity. The regions in contact with the protected joint are fitted with protective cushions. It may form part of the users cloth.
