A junction sleeve has at least two cables (1) coming in which are joined by at least one fuse(4) in a block. The housing(6) has a fuse hole (7) at the top which can be sealed. There is a casting hole (12) in the housing so that the sleeve can be filled with hardening resin. The fuse block is directly attached to the base of the housing in positive locking fashion, but higher in level than the base(13). The fuse block extends transversely to the cables. The housing has upper and lower sections with a separating line through the centre of the cable inlet holes.
