The hollow ureter probe (1) has an inner rod (3) detachably connected to it by a threaded connection (A). The hard thread cuts into the soft material of the ureter probe. When the inner rod is unthreaded, it can slide in the longitudinal direction of the ureter probe so as to be completely removed. The inner rod also has a threaded connection (20) with an assisting probe (2) so that it turns together in either direction. When the ureter probe is inserted into the patients ureter, the inner rod extends outside the body of the patient and can be operated via a hand mechanism to turn it around the same axis as the ureter probe and the assisting probe.
