To give a paired cable twisting to two strands (VE1,VE2), at least one strand (VE1) is taken over the head of the supply bobbin (VT1), and passed to a free-rotation twisting disc (VS), which is given a constant rotation through the strand take-off action. Also claimed is an assembly with at least one supply bobbin (VT1) for the strand to be taken off over its head. The taken strand (VE1) is passed to a twisting disc (VS) with free rotation, to be given a constant rotation through the strand (VE1) take-off movement.
