Wear protected roller bearing - has wear and/or corrosion resistant coating applied before heat treatment

In a roller bearing with wear and/or corrosion resistant coatings of W, Co, Mo and/or opt. other materials, the roller bearing components are heat treated after coating and are then machined. Pref. the coating layer is 0.3-1 mm. thick, has 600-1200 HV1 hardness and is applied by laser or electron beam weld deposition or by plasma spraying. Pref., after machining, the coating is = 0.3 mm. thick and attains 800-2000 HV hardness under sliding conditions.
