The receiving device for a plate has a lower part (1) which can be fitted on an assembly base and has support devices for the plate. The upper part (2), in the form of a frame, is pivoted at one edge to the lower part, fitting round the plate from the front and from the outside. The stops (15) of the lower part have a free end with a tooth (18) projecting inwards and springs (17) acting towards the upper part, with freedom of movement in the direction of the tooth. The tooth fits in a stop aperture of a stop (16) spaced out from the upper part.
