Extending through the whole press line are support rail pairs, which can be raised and lowered as well as being moved in the transport direction. They are connected to each other by traverses provided with suction units. The traverses are releasable from the support rails by means of automatic coupling systems and can be exchanged for other suction traverse matching the plate parts being prepared. The support rails of a first pair are formed on both sides as primary rails (8) and are longitudinally displaceably located by means of separate curve gear for executing the transport lift in the lift units (11) and bridges (12).
