A bracing area (11) is connected to the socket area (2) with at least two bracing arms (6) and longitudinal slots (5) separating them. The slots extend over the bracing area to shortly before the socket area and continue into the socket area as grooves (8) with reducing depth. An inner narrowing is provided in the area of the transition between the socket area and the bracing area. The narrowing begins in the area of the grooves or of the transition from the grooves into the longitudinal slots. The grooves are arranged on the radial outer side of the socket area. The dowel is additionally secured against rotation in the area of the marking (9). This is achieved by at least one narrow rib (14).
