The cargo hold has three solid walls and one curtain wall, and columns on one longitudinal side next to the curtain. The columns (5) are movable in longitudinal direction of the cargo hold, and are pivoted in transverse direction of the hold. They are born in rotary slide bearings (12), which are located in neighbouring sections of the cargo hold cover (7). Carrier beams (24) in the top of the first longitudinal side (9) support the columns when these are in their top non-use position. Each column is telescopic, to compensate for height differentials between bearings and lock apertures (15) in the base plate (6), and between bearings and carrier beams.
