Prefabricated ceramic event structure for forming artificial crown stumps for prosthetic restorations

Artificial crown stumps for fastening prosthetic restorations are built up with a prefabricated implant superstructure using a tooth-coloured and X-ray opaque Zr dioxide ceramic and a sleeve system with a structured surface, allowing indirect formation of the individual root transition profile. The prosthetic restoration can be ceramically fired or pressed on or adhesively bonded on. A post system may also be used allowing formation of implant structure in the patient's mouth. Pref., the post is formed by injection moulding a compsn. comprising polyoxymethylene and zirconium dioxide powder. Improved prodn. method giving good visual appearance.
