The safety device (1) is connected to the roof tiles by a clamp (2), and is connected to the roof battening and grips over the tiles. The device comprises a clasp (3), and a clamp which are integral to the device and form an E-shape with it. The clasp is near the overlapping roof tile with the clamp, and the roof batten grips underneath which causes a tensional connection with the roof batten. The clasp and the clamp are connected to the building unit by a cross-piece (6) which strengthens the device. There is a corrugated section, on one of the clamp bars, which starts from the root of the clamp bar and continues over a section.
