The monitoring system is for use with patients who are in extremely critical conditions and is based upon measuring changes in skin conditions, such as the conductivity and moisture level. The system responds to impedance measurements and provides current signals indicative of psycho vegetative changes. This allows changes in key parameters such as breathing and heart rate to be detected early and warning signals generated and displayed.
