The assembly to test the sliding quality of fibre materials (15) has a test unit (31) between the feed conveyor (21) and the faster take-off conveyor (22) which drafts the material (15) between them. The tensioner (32) and the conveyors (21, 22) can be positioned so that the fibre material (15) follows a triangular path to the conveyors (21, 22).
