The arrangement consists of a frame (7) which can be raised and lowered in front of the storage rack. A carriage (10), which is mounted on the frame, has double telescopic arms which can be extended into the storage rack (3). The telescopic arms are of flat rectangular cross section and are extended directly under a shelf of the rack. The front section (11a) of the telescopes incorporate grips (13) which can be pivoted down in front of and behind the part to be moved to grip it. Parts to be loaded into the rack are first placed on a carriage which feeds the parts sideways to the carriages with telescopic arms.
