Subscriber trunk dialling method for remote interrogation of answering machine

The method is implemented with an answering machine (10) containing a telephone switching circuit (21) for connection of the network (20) for a three-way call operation. An operation detector (29) receives signals for identification of a remote interrogation request and destination, after establishment of a first telephone link. The detector includes a repertory dialling list of numbers for searching with the aid of an input key to generate a destination number. The same microprocessor (22) incorporates a remote interrogation control (2a) for triggering three-way operation with the aid of the switching circuit and establishing a second telephone link.
