Watertight shoe with thermoplastic or rubber sole having breathing, microporous, watertight lining

This watertight shoe comprises upper, watertight lining and injected-on, plastic sole. The lining is water vapour permeable; the sole watertight. In the novel shoe, lower edges (16) of the upper (12) connect to an intermediate sole (22) permeable to injected, fluid plastic. The interior region (26) of the intermediate sole is adjacent to the lining (14), onto which the injected plastic percolates through the intermediate sole. Preferably, the functional layer in the laminated lining is a membrane of stretched polytetrafluoroethylene, polyester or a microporous polyurethane coating. The lining includes a material or plastic fabric. The sole is polyurethane, transparent rubber or polyvinyl fluoride. Also claimed is manufacture of the watertight shoe.
