The power station (10) has one or more modules (M1...Mn) generating electricity and supplying heat, together with one or more peak-load boilers (K1..Kn) and regulating accumulators (41). The accumulators provide buffer storage for surplus heat and regulating the heat flow. The electricity-generating module and the accumulator are connected hydraulically in parallel to form a heat-generating circuit. The accumulator is connected in parallel or series with the consumer unit, forming with it a consumer circuit, which is hydraulically uncoupled from the heat-generating circuit by the accumulator. For hydraulic uncoupling of the peak-load boiler from the rest of the system it can be connected in parallel or in-series with the heat-generation and consumer circuits by an hydraulic changeover unit (42). First and second regulating accumulators can be provided respectively in the heat-generating and consumer circuits. The medium flow direction in the first accumulator can be from top to bottom, and in the second from bottom to top.
