Measurement and control of surfactant solution surface tension using bubble excess pressure tensiometer

摘要

This process measures the surface tension of surfactant solutions, using a bubble excess pressure tensiometer, operating at constant volumetric flow-rate. In the new unit, the bubble internal pressure is determined, as a measure of the surface tension of the tenside solution flowing through the cell. The bubble size is held constant, and hence the age of its surface is also defined. Should a given surface tension be exceeded, surfactant is added. Also claimed is the corresponding apparatus which is connected to a source of constant gas flow.
