The template has two slide carriages with a side stop and a fixing screw (1) infinitely adjustable horizontally on an alignment rod (2). A fixing strip with a slit (3) attached on the slide carriages is used to control and fix each hanger or the bore on the back of the object being hung in each position. The fixed points are then transferred and marked directly on the wall or ceiling. The alignment rod (2) has a centimetre or millimetre scale (4) for lateral spacing from the wall or the object and has a spirit level (5) for horizontal alignment. The bore left and right at the end of the alignment rod is for spacers.
