The slide feeder unit (11) is fitted to a machine which bundles together individual piles, which are supplied in phase to separate bundling stations (18). It is arranged in front of the feeding table (17) of the latter. The unit may be integrated into the working sequence of the bundling station, and may have a table board (12), which forms a uniform working surface with the feeding table of the bundling station. The latter may have a detachable connection to the unit, and its operating direction (31) may also be perpendicular to that (30) of the unit.
