Building material for the creation of riding arenas and other open spaces

Areas (1) used for riding or temporary car parks, footpaths etc. on open earth and field surfaces are consolidated and drained (2) using a building material (3) comprising a granulate of porous concrete. The concrete is produced from a mixture of 10% quartz sand, more than 10% lime, 1-10% cement, 1-10% natural gypsum, less than 1% aluminium powder and more than 10% water. The mixture is formed as required and allowed to set . Granules are preferably 5 to 15 mm in size and are made from porous concrete waste from the manufacture of porous concrete blocks or slabs.
