The deception jammer (3) inputs signals from an antenna (1) by a circulator (2). The jammer has a high gain amplifier stage (31) followed by a delay unit (32). Following the delay unit, the input signals which have been collected from the enemy radar are passed to a controllable switch/modulator (34,35). Signals are then passed to a further amplification stage (33) then to a circulator, and are then retransmitted to the enemy radar to provide offset range signals, providing a deception jamming function.
