The invention relates to a method and arrangement for complete combustion of biomaterials, in particular wood chips, to be combusted in a coaldust-fired steam boiler. For disposal and energetic use of the uncombusted material, the uncombusted material is to be brought from the wet ash into a circulating process for combustion in the steam boiler. This is achieved by the uncombusted material, from the biomaterial and coaldust combustion, occurring in the wet ash-removal installation of the steam boiler, being hydraulically separated in a manner known per se from the non-combustible material by floating action, the uncombusted material being separated from the water by filtration and fed continuously to the mill, smoke-gas back-suction or burner system of the steam boiler as secondary fuel. For implementation, the wet ash-removal installation of the steam boiler is connected to an uncombusted material/non-combustible material/water separation arrangement and this is integrated into the mill, smoke-gas back-suction or burner system.
