PURPOSE:To get a switching regulator circuit, which can suppress the current loss in the case where the load requires little power by adjusting the make and break time of a switch so that the current loss at make and the counter- electromotive force at break may fit the operating condition and the stop condition of load. CONSTITUTION:A signal generator 102 generates two kinds of rectangular waves A and B different in duty. When the voltage of a capacitor 110 become higher than the voltage of a constant voltage source 109, the signal generator 102 stops by a comparator 108. A control circuit 101, when putting a load circuit 103 in operating condition, changes it over to the rectangular wave A where the time of high level is long, on the other hand, the control circuit 101, when putting the load circuit 103 in stop condition, changes it over to the rectangular wave B where the time of high level is short. As above, by changing over the duty of the switch of the inductance, when the circuit to become load is in operating condition, power supply capacity can be increased, and when in stop condition, the loss of power decreases.
