PURPOSE:To extremely strengthen luminous intensity of a 2,3-dihydro-1,4- phthalazinedione compound such as luminol and to increase sensitivity of immunological measurement using the compound. CONSTITUTION:In immunological measurement using chemiluminescence reaction of luminol with peroxidase of horseradish and hydrogen peroxide, a phenolic compound represented by 4-(cyanomethylthio)phenol is used as an enhancer for chemiluminescence. A luminous pattern emitted by the above-mentioned constitution is as shown by the figure 1 and high and stable luminescence is obtained.
