The invention relates to a device making it possible to simulate respiratory cycles by using a dry vacuum pump, that is to say one without lubricant oil, and by orienting the direction of the flow alternately towards the same junction connector so as to take in from and discharge to respiratory equipment or a subject. It consists of a vacuum pump (6) which takes in from and discharges to a junction connector (1) via a set of solenoid valves which direct the suction of the vacuum pump onto the junction connector j and the discharge to ambient pressure and alternately the discharge of the vacuum pump 6 towards the junction connector l and the suction to ambient pressure. It is an electropneumatic valve 5 which produces sinusoidal cycles or, quite simply, the motor of the vacuum pump which is electrically controlled and which reproduces sinusoidal cycles. The device according to the invention is particularly intended to replace traditional bellows respiratory pumps as well as the system actuated by pressure. IMAGE
