The present invention describes a luminophore layer which emits rays with high luminous efficiency by means of electron beams at a post-acceleration voltage of 0.1 to 2 kV. The heat-resistant protective layer is composed of potassium silicate, silicon dioxide and zinc which are deposited on particles of a luminophore material. The method consists in mixing a photosensitive resin having a photosensitive styrile pyridinium group with the abovementioned luminophore particles, so as to obtain a liquid slurry. The luminophore layer is constituted accoding to a predefined model on a substrate with the aid of the said liquid slurry according to a known photolithography method. The substrate on which the luminophore layer is deposited is subsequently sintered at a temperature varying from 450 to 480 DEG C. The photosensitive resin is characterised by a high thermal stabilisation power; it decomposes thermally by sintering at elevated temperature.
