The invention relates to a water bath for the electrodeposition of the zinc and zinc alloys, the metals of the alloy being chosen from the group consisting of iron, cobalt and nickel, which contains a quantity of an additive effect of an ammonium quaternary polymer, in order to obtain better deposits. It also describes a process for the electrodeposition of the zinc and zinc alloys using the baths of the present invention.
