Landing guide installation on path of landing aircraft

The aircraft (12) has two sources of light on-board, with the first source (14,16) is aimed to be seen directly at the landing site and a second source (14,18) shines vertically downward. At the landing site a camera (22) is aimed at the correct direction of approach for aircraft.The images produced by the camera (22) are processed (24,26,30) to allow if necessary for the movement of the landing site, if it were an aircraft carrier, and to produce a picture showing the actual position of the aircraft relative to a correct position. Necessary corrections are signalled to the pilot (28).
