Use of at least one substance P antagonist for the prepn. of a pharmaceutical or dermatological compsn. for treating pruritus and/or ocular pain and/or palpebral (eyelid) pain and/or ocular or palpebral dysesthesia, is new. The compsn. may also include one or more other active agents chosen from proteins, protein hydrolysates, aminoacids, polyols, urea, sugars, sugar derivs., vitamins, starch, plant extracts, ceramides, and essential oils. The compsn. may further include healing agents, antiseptics, antiallergic agents, anaesthetics, antiviral agents or non-steroidal antiinflammatories, as well as emulsifiers, preservatives, antioxidants or solvents.
