The electric switch includes switches which are temporarily locked by a mechanism connected directly or indirectly to the pushbutton and arranged to come into action with an element connected to the casing (100) or alternatively to the ring (300). The ring is indexed and acts on the pushbutton by means of a ramp (330) to displace it longitudinally when the ring is rotated, or it acts on the locking mechanism or the element. The locking mechanism comprises a plate (170) with a heart-shaped cam and a finger (270) acted on towards the cam by a spring. The plate is supported by the element while the finger is carried by the pushbutton or a rigid rod (250) and lies radially relative to the longitudinal axis of the lever.
