The pad comprises a half shell (2) containing a structure formed by three layers. The structure comprises a rigid base layer (5) and another layer made of flexible material (6), covered by a flexible film (7). The film cooperates with the duct (4) of a wind instrument, closing or opening it as required by user. The rigid base layer is made of hard nylon, the layer of flexible material is made of shammy leather, and the flexible film is made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). A movable disc (2) is disposed between the rigid base layer and the half shell.
