Improvement to air admission openings in livestock rooms - utilises tipping hatch, fixed inside room ceiling, enabling variation of inlet air free surface, hatch positioned to cause air flow between it and its stop to be parallel to ceiling
To improve the efficiency of air admission inlets (11) into livestock rooms they have a tipping hatch (3)pivoted about a transverse spindle (4). This enables varying the inlet air free surface between the hatch and the plane of its upper stop(6). The hatch is fixed inside the room ceiling, air passing through the cut out in the ceiling during installation. The inlet air opening between the hatch and its stop (6) is placed so that the air flow between it into the room is parallel to the ceiling. The rear wall (10) makes an angle less than 60?0 with the ceiling to guarantee a good air flow. It has side panels (9) which prevent the air being projected towards the sides.
