Seaweed harvester, esp. for Laminaria Hyperborea on sea-bed

The harvester consists of a row of parallel discs (3) designed to rest on the sea bed and carried on a shaft (2) with a horizontal axis (X-X'). The discs are set vertically and rotated backwards in relation to their direction of travel. There are counter-cutters (5') extending between neighbouring discs. Each disc face is equipped with at least one cutter (4') which has its free edge (40') positioned to move the seaweed towards the counter-cutters as the discs rotate, cutting or uprooting the plants. Each cutter extends in an arc centred on the axis of the shaft, with its free edge in the form of a spiral. The pitch of the cutters on opposite sides of a disc run in opposite directions. The counter-cutters can be in the form of discs on a supporting structure (50).
