Fireproofing glasses containing gels free from organic gel formers are characterized in that they have been prepared with gel formers which containPPa) acidic aluminium phosphates andP Pb) reaction products of boric acid with alkanolamines,P Pa) and b) being present in a weight ratio of 100:55 to 100:0.5, calculated as solids.
