PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control a brake by using a calculated coupling force and giving an alarm on the basis of an output from braking force determining means when at least one calculated brake ratio in respective brake ratios of a tractor and a trailer becomes the previously set predetermined value or less. ;SOLUTION: By means of an electronic control unit(ECU) 38, a coupling force FK and a brake ratio Z are computed, while on the basis of the coupling force FK and the brake ratio Z, a braking force of a tractor rear axle A2 and a braking force of a trailer are computed so that respective brake ratios Z2, Z3, Z4 of the tractor rear axle A2 and respective axles A3, A4 of the trailer are equalized to a brake ratio Z1 of a tractor front axle A1 serving as a target brake ratio. By means of the ECU 38, a solenoid switching valve is switched while a solenoid proportional valve is controlled, and a rear axle brake of the tractor and a brake of the trailer are controlled so that the computed brake forces can be provided individually.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
