PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an examination device of visual acuity or the like, which can be worn like glasses, by comprising a light modulator which is continued after a light source, and is driven by a driving device for modulating the video information, a two-dimensional deflecting means for the light which is used for generating an image, and an optical projecting means for projecting the image onto a retina. SOLUTION: A modulator 12 where the light of a laser beam source 11 is entered, is driven by an electronic circuit 13 according to a video signal 14, and the luminance of the laser beam is modulated by the modulator 12. The light of which the luminance is modulated, is guided to a two-dimensional scanning arrangement 15 through a photoconductive fiber 16, and a video image is formed there by the two-dimensional deflection method. This video image is projected to a retina through an optical system (cornea and crystal lens) of an eye 18 of a person, through a variable optical system 17, and the examination of the long range visual acuity, the short range visual acuity or the like of the eye, is performed on the basis of the information given by a subject, by the repeatable and determinatable method.
