COLORING MATTER DONOR ELEMENT FOR THERMAL COLORING MATTER TRANSFER AND FORMING METHOD OF COLORING MATTER TRANSFER IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge a color gamut of a coloring matter donor element for thermal coloring matter transfer. SOLUTION: A multicolor coloring matter donor element for thermal coloring matter transfer which has on a substrate a set of sequentially repeated coloring matter patches each having image coloring matters of yellow, magenta and cyan dispersed in a macromolecular binder. The element contains also at least one kind of additional coloring matter patch of which the coloring matters are dispersed in the macromolecular binder, and the hue of each coloring matter of the additional coloring matter patch, measured in the maximum density of the matter, can bring about an improved color gamut being outside the color gamut marked out by the hue obtained by transfer of the image coloring matters of yellow, magenta and cyan, by more than five CIELABEc units, on the occasion when the aforesaid each coloring matter is transferred onto a coloring matter image acceptor layer before or after the transfer of the image coloring matters of yellow, magenta and cyan.
