PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower a coefficient of friction of upper and lower sliding materials, enlarge a contact area of mutual slippage surfaces, and enhance a transmission ability of vertical loads by providing a middle slippage portion between the upper member having a recessed slippage surface portion and plane slippage surface portion and the upper and lower sliding member. ;SOLUTION: In a crisscross base isolation/slippage support, a cylindrical middle slippage portion 6 is provided between the upper sliding member 4-a having a downward recessed slippage surface portion and plane slippage surface portion and set on a structure 1 to be isolated and the lower sliding member 4-b set on a structure 2 for supporting the structure 1 to be isolated. Also, a roller bearing or ball bearing can be provided at the upper surface, lower surface, and side surface position to be contiguous with the upper sliding member 4-a of the middle slippage portion 6 and lower sliding member 4-b.
