PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a color simple for a monotone print that makes a user easy to select desirable color tone, by obtaining a color sample for a photographic print by selecting at least three kinds of color names from among the specified color names. ;SOLUTION: The color sample for a photographic print is obtained by selecting at least three kind of color names among 54 kinds of color names such s the neutral (white and black), the aqua (blue and green) and the ash (grey). These color names are the inherent color names even among generally used colors and the special color names reminding the user of the impression of the color. Besides, the selecting action can be executed in higher degree of the freedom by adding at least one kind of color tone other than two kids being the conventional white and black tone and the sepia tone. Then, he color sample or a monotone print is produced by arranging and sticking a sepia-tone print, a sienna-tone print, a saffron-tone print and a taupe tone print on a mount with a neutral print as a center, for example and displaying a bar code 1, a code number 2 and the color name 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
