CURRENT COLLECTING METHOD OF DUEL CELL AND SOLID ELECTROLYTE FUEL CELL OF CYLINDRICAL CELL TYPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the durability and reliability of cells by uniforming the current density of cells and precluding crack initiation, etc., resulting from heat spot. SOLUTION: A solid electrolyte fuel cell 1 of cylindrical cell type is furnished with a power generating cell 7. Current collecting plates 10 opposing with the cell 7 pinched in between, and a current collecting rod 41 to take out electricity from the plates 10. A plurality of such rids 41 are installed scattering in the axial direction of the cell 7, and the section area of each rods 41 is incremental gradually from upstream of the fuel and oxidation of the cell 7 to their downstream for uniforming the current in the rods 41 each current collecting position.
