PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescence microscope with zooming function where zooming operation is performed without worrying the decoloring of a sample and whose operability is excellent. ;SOLUTION: This fluorescence microscope 1 is provided with a light source 101 emitting the light of wavelength by which the sample 110 is excited, an illuminating system illuminating the sample 110 with the light from the light source 101, an observing system condensing fluorescence from the sample 110 through a zooming system and a field diaphragm 103 arranged at a position in the middle of the optical path of the illuminating system and capable of changing an irradiation area for the sample 110. In this case, the magnification information of the zooming system is obtained, and a connecting arm 10 changing the size of the field diaphragm 103 in accordance with the magnification information is provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
