PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the supporting tool which maintains a satisfactory supporting state depending on the growth of a tree by providing thermoplastic polyurethane for at least a part so as to minimize influence such as cutting into the tree without loosing the fastening force of the root part of the tree. SOLUTION: Thermoplastic polyurethane is used for at least a part of the supporting tool. For example, a supporting main body 1a is constituted of decomposable material and is coated with a protective material 4 consisting of the thermoplastic polyurethane. As thermoplastic polyurethane, polyether thermoplastic polyurethane containing polyetherpolyol or the mixture of polyester thermoplastic polyurethane containing polyesterpolyol and polyether thermoplastic polyurethane is used. In addition, it is possible to use only polyester thermoplastic polyurethane and to add antifungal agent to this.
