FRESHNESS PRESERVATIVE, FRESHNESS-PRESERVING SHEET AND CONTAINER USING THE SAME, AND PRESERVATION OF FRESHNESS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a freshness preservative, capable of removing a harmful gaseous component which can damage freshness and absorbing an exudate, by including hydration-hardened product of cement, an aqueous polymer of resin and/or rubber, and stony and/or carbonaceous powders. ;SOLUTION: This preservative, efficacious to preserve freshness of fruits and vegetables, to say nothing of meats, is obtained by hardening an unhardened slurry of cement incorporated with an aqueous polymer of resin and/or rubber, and stony and/or carbonaceous powders. It preferably comprises 5 to 50 wt.% of hydration-hardened product of cement, 5 to 50 wt.% of an aqueous polymer of resin and/or rubber, and 30 to 60 wt.% of stony and/or carbonaceous powders.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
