PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a continuous pyrolysis treatment method for macromers of an isocyanate-based compound and other byproducts produced in the production line of the isocyanate-based compound among wastes inside chemical plants which have been incinerated or discarded, by pyrolyzing and recovery such byproducts to serve as starting material compounds or their derivatives therefrom to be used as intermediate materials so as to effectively recycle such byproducts. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for pyrolyzing target compounds by bringing them into contact with high-pressure and high- temperature water to recover them so as to serve as the raw materials therefor or derivatives from the raw material, wherein, the target compounds are isocyanate-based compounds each bearing at least one isocyanate group or a group derived therefrom, and the compounds are continuously fed in the form of melt or solution into a reactor while continuously feeding high-pressure and high-temperature water to the reactor to conduct a pyrolysis of the compounds in the reactor at 190-300 deg.C.
