INSTALLATION METHOD OF PROTECTION PLATE FOR THRUSTING PIPE AND THRUSTING PIPE WITH PROTECTION PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a protection function from other construction works to thrust pipes directly pushed in the ground in the pipe jacking method to improve the safety. ;SOLUTION: Protection iron plates 13 are stuck on the surface of the superficial layer 12 such as mortar covering the periphery of a conduit 11 in a thrusting pipe 10 with protection iron plates embedded in the ground by the pipe jacking method. Projections 14 are formed at every distance at the inside face of the protection iron plate 13 so that the projections are caught by the superficial layer 12 and the adhesive force is mechanically increased when the iron plate is attached to the surface. The protection iron plate 13 is provided with an endurable hardness against the cutter bit of boring. When the thrusting pipe 10 with protection iron plates is pushed in the ground, since the adhesive force between the protection iron pipes and the surface layer is increased, the protection iron plates 13 are prevented from peeling off or dropping out during the jacking work.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
