PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for generating impact sounds on an indoor floor and an estimating method using the apparatus, which can perform the measurement conforming to the actual life sounds to comply with customer's various needs. ;SOLUTION: An apparatus for generating impact sounds on an indoor floor surface 2 is used to measure the impact sounds when a golf ball 11 collides with the indoor floor by dropping the golf ball from a predetermined height toward the indoor floor surface 2. A pair of support plates 17, 17 provided to pivot about pivots 16, 16 disposed parallel to the approximately horizontal direction are inclined so that both support plates 17, 17 have their opposed sides 18, 18 approaching each other in the lower parts.
